Our 5 Step Process
To ensure the effectiveness and efficiency of our therapy programs, we follow a 5 step process for all our pediatric clients. You can discuss your child's unique circumstances, preferences, and needs with your OT. This helps us to make our therapy programs transparent and personalized
01
Initial Meeting
The initial occupational therapy session is a parent-only appointment, providing an opportunity to share your child’s background and discuss any concerns. Your Occupational Therapist may ask you to complete a checklist to better understand your child’s strengths and areas for growth, and you’re welcome to raise questions about future assessments or reporting. The session will be invoiced at 90 minutes, including approximately 60 minutes of face-to-face time and 30 minutes for reviewing prior reports, completing clinical notes, and drafting an initial therapy plan tailored to your child’s needs.
02
Child Meeting/ Observation
During this meeting your OT will meet your child and may complete further assessment both formal and informal. Your OT will work towards making a connection with your child and start to formalize therapy goals. This meeting is expected to be 60 minutes.
03
Feedback & Goal Setting
This meeting is where your OT will provide a summary of findings by phone consultation. A therapy support plan is developed, outlining the goals you have discussed together and identify what strategies your OT recommends to achieve these goals. A service agreement (for NDIS participants) is formed and will outline the therapy plan, and the terms of that plan. The phone call will be approx. 15 minutes. The therapy support plan will be developed and invoiced for 15 minutes.
04
Implement Therapy ProgramÂ
The therapy plan is put into action according to the terms of your service agreement. Sessions are scheduled on a weekly/fortnightly basis for the term. Your OT will provide written feedback via email following each session. Sessions will be 50 mins +10 mins notes and travel will be invoiced for community visits. Sessions will be invoiced for 60 minutes and travel. Please be aware of our 48-hour cancellation period.
05
Review & Evaluate Progress/Goals/ Therapy plan

Reviews are approx. 30 minutes.
